A 1786 threshing barn with oak trusses, a sprung oak floor and doors that open onto the orchard.

Built to thresh wheat and kept for long dinners. We kept the king-post trusses, the threshing doors and the flagstone apron, then added underfloor heating, a proper bar and a lighting rig hidden in the beams. Long tables run the length of the barn; when the speeches end, the far end clears for the band.
